“My Army. See Through Heart” Exhibition Held in Kyiv
On August 23, the Kyiv History Museum hosted the opening of the “My Army. See Through Heart” photo exhibit on the rebirth of the Ukrainian army. It featured 250 photos taken by witnesses of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. The exhibition was opened till September 4.
The photos were selected from among more than 3,000 entries submitted through the “Army. Rebirth” project site over several weeks. They were taken by volunteers and those who fought in the war. Another 5,000 photographs were provided by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
“The exhibit showcases ordinary soldiers, officers, volunteers, doctors who seem invincible as they fight for their homeland. This is the strength behind the new Ukrainian army. They recorded their feelings and emotions. The exhibition is the personal story of every soldier. It is an expression of pride, gratitude, and respect to all those who are protecting our peace”, Oksana Horbach, project-lead of Army. Re-birth.
After Kyiv, the exhibition will travel to different cities of Ukraine.
